Grammy-winning
producer, guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli celebrates
the centennial of iconic singer Tony Bennett with a pair of heartfelt
tributes. Dear Mr. Bennett, released March 3, 2026 via Green Hill
Music, features Pizzarelli’s trio with bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J.
Thompson performing timeless songs made famous by Bennett. A 5-song EP will
follow on August 7, the week of Bennett’s 100th birthday
For world-renowned
guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli, Bennett was more than simply an
influence. Pizzarelli’s late father, the revered guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli,
was a frequent sideman for the legendary singer, appearing on albums including 1960’s
To My Wonderful One and 1969’s I’ve Gotta Be Me. John got his own
opportunity to accompany Bennett for a radio broadcast that also featured
pianist Ralph Sharon and bassist Jay Leonhart.
The admiration was
mutual – Bennett could be found in the audience for a number of Pizzarelli’s
performances and sketched his likeness on two occasions. The charming artwork
that graces the cover of Pizzarelli’s heartfelt new tribute album, Dear Mr.
Bennett, was rendered during an engagement at Feinstein’s nightclub.

Drummer Sylvia Cuenca

Cuenca’s career includes

Luis Pacheco is one of the leading pianists and composers of the new
generation of jazz in Cuba. Winner of the Montreux Jazz Piano Solo Competition
in Switzerland, Pacheco is a fiery young pianist with “flying hands.” His music
is a confluence of Cuban jazz and Afro-Cuban music, American jazz, and
classical music with a measure of contemporary pop and soul.
Pacheco was the 2017 winner of the
JoJAzz Award in Havana and won the Best Solo and Performance Award in the “Made
in New York” Jazz Competition in New York City the same year with his original
composition “Con el Pache me Voy.” Pacheco has a master’s degree in composition
from the Instituto Superior de Arte de La Habana.
He has collaborated with Wynton
Marsalis and the JLCO, Arturo O’Farrill, and Lenny White, as well as leading
Cuban artists such as Alexander Abreu, Isaac Delgado, Gonzalo Rubalcaba,
Amadito Valdés and Teté Caturla (Buena Vista Social Club); among others.

Cyrille Aimée is
one of today’s most distinctive jazz vocalists, winner of both the Sarah
Vaughan International Vocal Competition and the Montreux Jazz Festival Vocal
Competition, and a finalist in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocal
Competition. Raised by a French father and Dominican mother in Samois‑sur‑Seine,
Django Reinhardt’s final home, she absorbed Roma jazz influences early on,
singing on street corners during travels across Europe.
Her move to New York
propelled her onto the international stage. She performed and recorded with Roy
Hargrove, impressed the notoriously tough legendary Harlem Apollo audience, and
was invited by Stephen Sondheim to appear in a City Centre tribute with Wynton
Marsalis. Her Sondheim album Move On earned the composer’s praise, and her
version of “Marry Me a Little” received a Grammy nomination.
Now based in New Orleans
after a creatively transformative period in Costa Rica and new motherhood,
Aimée continues to expand her musical world. Her latest release on Whirlwind
Recordings, à Fleur de Peau, created with producer Jake Sherman,
showcases her signature blend of jazz sophistication, global influences, and
irresistible rhythmic energy.

Equally renowned as
drummer and vibraphonist, Jason Marsalis, the youngest brother in the
illustrious New Orleans jazz clan has blazed a singular trail leaving no doubt
why he was named an NEA Jazz Master. His latest project features the
accomplished vocalist, Vanisha Gould. Gould is a brilliant jazz singer
& composer that recently found herself climbing the charts with her debut
record, “She’s Not Shiny, She’s Not Smooth.” Marsalis and Gould combine sleek
improvisations with soulful vocals for an afternoon of excellent music.
Jason Marsalis is
one of the most dynamic voices in contemporary jazz, known for his precision,
versatility, and innovative approach. Early in his career, he started working
extensively with pianist Marcus Roberts, helping shape a bold fusion of jazz
and classical forms through projects like Portraits in Blue. He has
performed with major artists including Joe Henderson and Lionel Hampton and
co‑founded the influential Latin‑jazz ensemble Los Hombres Calientes. His 2013
album In a World of Mallets reached No. 1 on the CMJ charts and won
OffBeat Magazine’s Best Contemporary Jazz Album.
Vanisha Gould is a
New York–based jazz vocalist, composer, and bandleader whose warm tone,
expressive writing, and magnetic stage presence have earned her international
attention. Raised in Southern California and inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah
Vaughan, Billie Holiday, and Joni Mitchell, she has emerged as a standout voice
on today’s jazz scene.

Quartet is an experience like no other. After 26 years with Carlos Santana and
a decade with Tower of Power, CT brings a signature blend of deep‑pocket
groove, soulful expression, and explosive energy to the stage. His unmistakable
sound—anchored by his legendary left‑hand/left‑foot bass—moves effortlessly
from smooth and lyrical to thunderous and driving.
Saxophonist Howard Wiley adds a powerful tenor
voice and relentless rhythmic feel, while guitarist Barry Finnerty—known for
work with the Brecker Brothers, the Crusaders, Miles Davis, etc.—brings decades
of jazz, blues, and rock mastery. Drummer Dante Roberson completes the quartet
with the versatility and precision that have made him an in‑demand Bay Area
musician.

career spans iconic contributions to Tower of Power, Grammy‑winning

the Bach! Vocalist Kat Edmonson brings her sparkling holiday
celebration, blending jazz, cabaret, and vintage pop into an afternoon of
timeless Christmas favorites and original gems. Known for her warmth, wit, and
crystalline vocals, Kat creates a festive experience that’s both sophisticated
and joyful. Her holiday album Holiday Swingin’! A Kat Edmonson Christmas
Vol. 1 was named one of the New York Times’ “13 Albums That Revisit (and
Redefine!) Holiday Classics,” and she will soon release A Kat Edmonson
Christmas, Vol. 2, selections of which she’ll share at this performance!
Kat Edmonson is an
award‑winning songwriter and singer “with an equal foothold in jazz, cabaret
and vintage cosmopolitan pop” (The New York Times). Raised on
early‑to‑mid‑century music and film, she blends nostalgic charm with a modern
sensibility. Beyond her holiday work, Kat’s Billboard‑topping Dreamers Do
inspired a 66‑episode livestream during the pandemic. Honored by the
Songwriters Hall of Fame, she has written more than 40 songs, including
“Lucky,” featured in Coca‑Cola’s 2014 Winter Olympics campaign, and has
appeared on Austin City Limits, Tiny Desk Concerts, A Prairie Home Companion,
and The Tonight Show.
