Pianist Peter Smith usually puts out a cooking hard bop sound that has that classic Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers/ Horace Silver groove to it. Smith's piano work is certainly a talent worth paying plenty of attention to. For this post Thanksgiving event, he will be presenting soul jazz / boogaloo music from his latest release Smitty Straightens Out. Peter is an accomplished pianist, composer, arranger, songwriter, and music director, and his career has flourished on both coasts.
