Live The Guardian described the band’s set as feeling “genuinely dangerous, like one last rave before the apocalypse, and as perfect an expression of rock’n’roll’s essential auto-destructive impulse as this writer’s ever heard” For over ten years now, the Dublin quartet — vocalist Dara Kiely, guitarist Alan Duggan Borges, bassist Daniel Fox, and drummer Adam Faulkner — have been redefining what you could loosely call “rock music” in the 21st century, influencing a wide swath of similarly forward-thinking guitar acts along the way. The band perfected a vision that wasn’t quite post-punk, wasn’t quite noise-rock, wasn’t quite anything besides an idiosyncratic, ground-breaking hybrid that could only come from the four of them - Giraffe is their bold new offering. Annie-Claude Deschênes Annie-Claude Deschênes embraces multidisciplinarity in her quest to merge music and performance art, challenging stage conventions. A prominent figure in Montreal's independent music scene for over twenty years, she gained recognition as the frontwoman of the cult bands Duchess Says and PyPy. Annie's solo project marks a shift from aggression to dystopian disco vibes. Inspired by minimal pop and electronic pioneers, her debut album, LES MANIÈRES DE TABLE, is both danceable and disquieting, reexamining social codes of politeness.
