He is currently exploring the meditative, gestural, and playful edges of performance, using a guitar to shape synthesized sound and field recordings to encode memory and place. Elif Dinçer and Zac Burgenbauch are a duo from LosAngeles who make Creative Music exploring the outer reaches of the harp and lap steel guitar. Drawing upon the traditions of free jazz, contemporary classical composition, free improvisation, and American folk music, Elif and Zac utilize a shared language and repertoire they have developed over years involving graphic scores, preparations, alternative tunings, open compositional structures, and reinterpreted original melodies.
