A San Francisco–based guitarist, tresero, educator, and bandleader, Lyons draws on jazz, Afro-Cuban and Afro-Caribbean traditions, blues, Brazilian music, and soul; he has performed with members of The Headhunters, Larry Vuckovich, Wil Blades, and the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra.
