GamperDrums is Chris Gamper, an Oakland bandleader and sideman who plays drum set, vibraphone, marimba and steel drums across Bay Area jazz, funk, Latin funk and world beat. His Biscuits and Blues run began with ZinggFlower, the tribute to Drew Zingg he leads alongside vibraphonist Michael Emenau, bassist Sascha Jacobsen, Ben Misterka and Chili Corder. FunkJazz is the other side of that residency, built for the groove and nothing else.
