This year, to celebrate this milestone he will be releasing his newest project the self-titled album “OATES”. As co-founder of the most successful duo in rock history Hall & Oates, he is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The American Songwriters Hall of Fame, recipient of the prestigious BMI Icon Award as well as numerous American Music, MTV awards and multiple Grammy nominations. Oates has been part of pop music history’s most icon moments; the groundbreaking; “We Are The World charity session, headlining the first Live Aid concert in Philadelphia and more recently is very active with various philanthropic organizations such as Feeding America, Movember and Teen Cancer America among others. In addition to having sold over 80 million albums as a former member of Hall & Oates…He has recorded 8 solo albums : Phunk Shui; 1000 Miles of Life; Mississippi Mile; The Bluesville Sessions; Good Road to Follow; Arkansas; Live from Nashville and Reunion.
