The Walter Arron Quartet comprises: Jairo Guerigay (Burlingame High School), alto saxophone; Ludovic “Tilu” Blain-Galvez (Berkeley High School), piano; Walter Arron (Nueva High School), bass & leader; Aaron Donohoe (Sequoia High School), drums Following their set, the quartet will conduct a jam session specifically attuned to student jazz players, though anyone may participate.A small honorarium is paid to the members of the quartet by the Bird & Beckett Cultural Legacy Project with support from Jazz in the Neighborhood — both 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations funded by individual donors. Tax-deductible donations to both organizations make their work possible. Audience contributions at the event help, too, and are very much appreciated. No charge to attend or play.
