RootStock Arts is hosting a Weekly Raga Concert + Jam Session at 5741 Telegraph Ave in Oakland . Running 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesdays in September , this all-ages, alcohol-free community event features a two-set lineup each week. The 1st Set ($10+ sliding scale/donation) highlights a rotating featured act. August 25th features: Ameya Velingkar. Following the opening performance, the 2nd Set transitions into an Open, Raga-friendly Classical Jam Session , inviting musicians and classical music enthusiasts of all levels to participate and collaborate.
