Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Wayne Escoffery brings a sound critics have called a "contemporary mix of Coltrane, Shorter and Henderson influences,” powerful, passionate, and unmistakably his own. A two-time Downbeat Critics Poll winner, Escoffery has spent decades at the center of the jazz world: a member of Tom Harrell's quintet for over a decade, a musical director of the Mingus Big Band, and leader of his own acclaimed quartet. His 2024 release Alone, featuring Gerald Clayton, Ron Carter, and Carl Allen, earned 5 stars in the London Times and was hailed as one of the year's finest jazz statements. Sharing the stage is Miami-based pianist Tal Cohen, a Grammy-winning artist whose playing weaves folk melodies and classical influence into deeply personal, modern jazz harmony.
