SUMMARY:Richard F. Lyon
LOCATION:CCRMA\, 660 Lomita Dr\, Stanford\, CA 94305
DESCRIPTION:We are leveraging a computational\, physiologically inspired mo
del of the inner ear (CARFAC) to simulate both normal hearing and various
types of hearing impairment. The differences in the outputs of these two m
odels are used as training signals for fitting conventional (WDRC) hearing
aids. The resulting fitting parameters are compared with common fitting p
rescriptions (NL2 and DSL 5.0) and also evaluated audiologically.\n\nhttps
