But now we get to focus on THEIR music.\n\nFeaturing pianist Miro Sprague\, bassist Karl McComas-Reic hl and drummer Dan Schnelle\, this dynamic Los Angeles-based cooperative t rio performs original music and choice standards in a conversational and h ighly interactive improvisational style. The trio’s music spans a wide r ange of grooves\, moods and musical colors\, from intense swing and second line grooves to contemplative ballads and freely improvised vignettes. Th e musical material is also wide-ranging\, featuring original compositions by each band member as well as lesser known material by artists like Mary Lou Williams and Bill Evans. Come see their Bay Area debut!\n\nMiro Spragu e is a pianist\, composer\, bandleader\, and educator known for his inspir ing creativity\, dynamic and passionate performance style\, and artistic v ersatility. Working primarily in the world of jazz and improvised music\, Miro has been an active performer since the early 2000’s\, touring throu ghout the U.S. and overseas and performing at many of the world's top venu es and festivals. Currently based in Los Angeles\, Miro leads his own trio and quintet\, and has performed with many renowned artists including Greg Osby\, Ingrid Jensen\, Linda Oh\, Jeff Parker\, Joe LaBarbera\, Steve Car denas\, Jerome Jennings\, Ed Howard\, Walter Smith III\, Jerry Bergonzi\, Houston Person\, and many others. He is also an in-demand vocal accompanis t and since 2015 has been the pianist of choice for renowned vocalist Karr in Allyson\, touring extensively with her throughout the U.S. and overseas . He has recorded on numerous albums as both a sideman and a bandleader an d he is currently gearing up to release his next album “Constant” late r this year.\n\nKarl McComas-Reichl is a bassist\, cellist\, film composer and artist. He is from Stevens Point\, Wisconsin and earned a BFA from Th e New School. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and good friend Lesley Ann Wheeler.
