Cambrian Symphony opens its 2026–2027 season with Conjuring the Elements, an evocative program exploring the elemental forces of nature and the power of imagination through music. Under the baton of Thomas Alexander, the orchestra presents a captivating journey through fire, water, earth, and magic in works spanning more than two centuries.The program features acclaimed flutist Ráyo Furuta as soloist in Alexis Aranda's Acqua, a luminous contemporary work that explores the personalities of the zodiac's water signs. The concert also includes the sparkling Overture to Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks, Beethoven's heroic Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus, Alan Hovhaness's atmospheric And God Created Great Whales, and Paul Dukas's beloved symphonic poem, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, immortalizing a tale of enchantment and runaway magic.Join Cambrian Symphony for an unforgettable evening celebrating the elemental forces that have inspired composers for generations.
