This ensemble of mostly Bay Area/Marin musicians played what was supposed to be a “two-off” Sly & The Family Stone tribute this past March at Hopmonk Novato and Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz. Magic happened during those two shows, and everyone agreed, just with facial expressions and body language, that we must keep this going and do more shows.  Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Vicki Randle, Ray White, Mookie Siegel, Ezra Lipp, Steve Adams, Marcus Stephens and Brendan Liu were the perfect ensemble to interpret Sly’s music those two fantastic evenings.  Vocals, instrumentation, passion and spirit all turned up to 11.  For the September ’26 shows, we are thrilled to announce that Natalie Cressman will be joining the ensemble on trombone and vocals.  She’s a tenured member of the Trey Anastasio Band among other incredible projects. This project is FUN and it fully delivered in March.  That was just a warmup!  These Sept shows will be talked about and cherished for a very long time!
