Theresa Wong (cello and voice) and William Winant (percussion) come together for a performance of free improvisation in the intimate setting of a home in the Berkeley Hills. Both are masterful performers and improvisors. Theresa Wong is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and intermedia artist active at the intersection of composition, improvisation and the synergy of multiple disciplines. William Winant, one of the great living percussionists, has collaborated with many of the most innovative and creative musicians of our time, from John Cage and Roscoe Mitchell to Frank Zappa and Sonic Youth. This coming together of Theresa Wong and William Winant, the first time these artists perform together as a duo, promises to make for an eventful evening of music.
