DESCRIPTION:Shades of Brown is a Nuestra Causa fundraiser and the official 
 launch of our first apparel collection\, Brown Brilliance. The collection 
 was created as an extension of our organizing work\, celebrating the ident
 ity\, creativity\, resilience\, and brilliance of the communities we come 
 from and serve. Proceeds from the drop will directly support Nuestra Causa
 ’s community programs and organizing.\n\nThe evening would include a rec
 eption featuring food from street vendors we organize alongside\; the debu
 t of our Brown Brilliance T-shirt collection\, a report-back on our work\,
  poetry from formerly incarcerated poets\, recognition of program particip
 ants/fellow organizers\, and a short panel highlighting the story and crea
 tive process behind the Brown Brilliance project. We’d close with remark
 s and time for everyone to connect and mingle.\n\nNuestra Causa is a commu
 nity-based organization rooted in San Francisco’s Mission District. Our 
 work centers on violence prevention\, youth leadership\, support for curre
 ntly/formerly incarcerated people and their families\, street vendor right
