Colorful Youth is the only film with a contemporary setting starring both Connie Chan Po-chu and Josephine Siao Fong-fong, unequivocally the most popular teen idols in the history of Cantonese cinema. Choreographed song-and-dance numbers and swimsuit parties punctuate the story, performed by beautiful young men and women in the trendiest fashions. Not without a moral center, the bedazzled youth also encounter setbacks, unsavory characters, and dark gang entanglements.
