 egrass Reunion is an annual celebration of California’s rich bluegrass t
 radition\, featuring an extraordinary lineup of musicians with deep Califo
 rnia roots who have all made significant contributions to the genre. This 
 year’s concert brings together some of the finest talents in bluegrass\,
  including Bill Evans (banjo)\, Jim Nunally (guitar)\, Chad Manning (fiddl
 e)\, Sharon Gilchrist (bass)\, Mike Witcher (dobro)\, Nell Robinson (vocal
 s) and Max Schwartz (bass). These musicians have performed together in var
 ious combinations for decades and for this year’s tour\, the Reunion ret
 urns to a focus on their own original compositions along with paying tribu
 te to California songwriters and tunesmiths. Bill Evans Bill Evans has bee
 n involved with bluegrass music and the world of the banjo as a player\, t
 eacher\, composer\, writer and historian for over forty-five years. He is 
 a recipient of the coveted Steve Martin Banjo Prize\, is a member of the A
 merican Banjo Museum’s Hall of Fame and the author of “ Banjo for Dumm
 ies .” He occupies a unique niche in the banjo world: celebrated worldwi
 de for his traditional as well as progressive bluegrass banjo styles as we
 ll as his innovative original compositions\, he also enjoys a reputation a
 s an outstanding instructor. In over twenty-seven years as a California-ba
 sed performer\, he has performed with David Grisman\, Peter Rowan\, Alan M
 unde\, Jody Stecher\, Eric & Suzy Thompson\, David Bromberg\, Tony Trischk
 a\, and Kathy Kallick among many others. He hosts six instructional course
