From his early days with Henry Cow to decades of boundary-pushing collaborations and improvisation, he has continually expanded the sonic possibilities of the guitar through extended techniques and fearless experimentation. A longtime Bay Area presence and former Mills College professor, Frith brings a new quartet, Fremakajo, featuring drummer Jordan Glenn, saxophonist Kasey Knudsen, and accordionist Marié Abe. JORDAN GLENN’s BEAK — JG's BEAK (est. 2014) is a percussion heavy ensemble that blurs the line between dynamic/energetic grooves and chaos. The power of this electric ensemble is wheeled by Jordan Glenn’s curious baton, moving in and out of composed and spontaneous material.
