 yrille Aimée truly has jazz in her blood. Raised by a French father and D
 ominican mother in the northern French town of Samois-sur-Seine – the la
 st home of Roma jazz giant Django Reinhardt – Aimée found inspiration i
 n the music of Reinhardt and the freedom of the gypsy lifestyle\, singing 
 on street corners during travels across Europe. Winning the Montreux Jazz 
 Festival Vocal Competition in 2007 helped finance her self-produced debut 
 album\, and finishing as a finalist in the 2012 Thelonious Monk Internatio
 nal Jazz Vocal Competition elevated Aimée’s visibility to a global leve
 l as a major new figure in jazz. A performer possessed of an infectious jo
 y\, lightness of touch and deep feeling for the lyric\, Aimée released he
 r breakout 2014 hit on Mack Avenue\, It’s a Good Day \, mixing Roma jazz
  inspirations\, bossa nova\, flamenco and the Great American Songbook. A r
 elocation to Costa Rica and new motherhood have instilled a fresh inspirat
 ion in Aimée\, and for these performances\, she performs a cross-section
