Show Description The Bumpy Road Less Traveled begins at AJ’s first day of kindergarten, sharing what life in beautiful Hermosa Beach, Southern California, looks and sounds like through his young eyes—sharing the intimate dreams of his family’s progressive hopes. A horrific tragedy strikes, forever changing two families’ trajectories. We witness what horrors lie in wait behind the walls of California’s prison industrial complex. Guardian angels, personal demons, and unsuspecting heroines escort you down his bumpy road. Artist Biography Anthony Michael Jefferson (AJ) was born in Harrisburg, PA. His parents had California dreams. When the powder blue Cadillac stopped finally, AJ was now living a stone’s throw from the Pacific ocean in Hermosa Beach, Southern California. At his core AJ is a surfer, chef, actor, activist, and playwright. Pen and paper are his oldest friends. The runner-up was a Hibachi grill his parents got him for Christmas. AJ has been performing in the Bay Area for over three years. He is a fellow with Marin Shakespeare and F.I.P.P.P. He’s played The Boatswain in The Tempest,Othello, Cassius for MSC and performed as Ray DuVaul in Sarah Shourd’s, The Box .
