Flamenco is a passionate, expressive art form from Andalusia, Spain, combining song (cante), dance (baile), and guitar playing (toque). Shaped by Romani, Moorish, and Jewish cultures, it is celebrated worldwide for its complex rhythms, elaborate footwork, and emotional storytelling. Recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, flamenco is a living conversation between the performers. Performers often shout jaleos (encouraging words like "¡olé!") to support and praise one another during improvisational sections. It is performed across Spain in intimate venues called tablaos, and has grown into a global phenomenon with vibrant communities and academies around the world. Tickets at Flamenco!
