  CelloGayageum CelloGayageum is not just a duo—it’s a musical journey 
 across continents\, cultures\, and centuries. Founded in 2016 by Austrian 
 cellist Sol Daniel Kim and Korean gayageum virtuoso Dayoung Yoon \, CelloG
 ayageum bridges the soulful depth of Western classical music with the mesm
 erizing elegance of Korean gug-ak (traditional music). Inspired by Berlin
 ’s Pavilion of Unity\, this unique collaboration celebrates the beauty o
 f connection—between instruments\, histories\, and people. With original
  compositions rooted in Korean folk melodies and infused with global sensi
 bilities\, CelloGayageum creates a sound that is at once ancient and refre
 shingly modern. ABOUT DAYOUNG YOON Dayoung Yoon is a gayageum (traditional
  Korean plucked zither with 12-strings) player and composer of the ensembl
 e CelloGayageum. She graduated from Korean National Traditional Arts High 
 School and received a bachelor's and master's degree from the Korea Nation
 al University of Arts. Following her graduation\, she pursued solo activit
 ies in France\, Germany\, Italy\, and beyond. During her tenure as a gayag
 eum instructor at the Berlin Korean Cultural Center\, she crossed paths wi
 th cellist Sol Daniel Kim and co-founded the ensemble CelloGayageum. Dayou
 ng has garnered recognition for her contributions to the ensemble\, receiv
 ing awards such as the Soorim Cultural Prize (2018)\, Jeongdong Theater's 
 "Youthful Artist of the Year" (2020)\, Director of the Young Gugak Orchest
 ra at Seoul Namsan Gugakdang (2021)\, and the first prize in the Korea Cul
 tural Heritage Foundation's Youth Song (2021). ABOUT SOL DANIEL KIM Sol Da
 niel Kim is the cellist and composer of the ensemble CelloGayageum. Born i
 n Vienna\, Austria\, he graduated from the University of Music and Perform
