ccrma.stanford.edu · details We are leveraging a computational, physiologically inspired model of the inner ear (CARFAC) to simulate both normal hearing and various types of hearing impairment. The differences in the outputs of these two models are used as training signals for fitting conventional (WDRC) hearing aids. The resulting fitting parameters are compared with common fitting prescriptions (NL2 and DSL 5.0) and also evaluated audiologically.
